会社で使用している各クライアントPCにはMcAfeeが導入されているので、ウイルスが蔓延してしまう問題は
低くなっている。1年と少し前に自分が管理者としてLinuxを使用してファイルサーバを構築したのだが、
念のためにファイルサーバにもAntiVirというウイルススキャンができるソフトを入れて定期的に共有されているフォルダ内を
ウイルススキャンできるように設定していた。
無料で使用できるのだが、スキャンエンジンのUpdateをするためにライセンスが必要になるのだが(ライセンスも無料)、
ライセンスは1年間で切れてしまうので、切れる前に更新をしなければならない。
このサーバは5ヶ月ぐらい前に自分の管理から外れて、他の人が管理するようになっていたのだが
昨日、久しぶりにサーバにLoginする機会があり色々とチェックしていたら、syslogに下記のようなメッセージが

ライセンスが切れてる。。。
スキャンエンジンのUpdateをしようとするが、弾かれてしまう。
いけないことだが、現在の管理者に対して注意するのはかなりめんどくさかったので、自分でライセンスをUpdateすることに。
AntiVirのサイトにいきライセンスの取得をしようとしたのだが、
ライセンス発行のページが見つからない。英語のサイトなので何が書いてあるのかがよく分からず色々と彷徨っていると、Downloadのページに
A registration of the AntiVir PersonalEdition Calssic Workstation for Linux is not necessary any more.
The licence file is now included in the download tar file.
の文章が。あまり英語は理解できないけど「このファイルの中にライセンスが入ってるからね」って書いてあるようなので、試しにDownloadし解答してみると「hbedv.key」というライセンスファイルが含まれていた。さっそくライセンスファイルの書き換え。
